THIS IS HOW WE ROLL

In 2006, we decided to pack our 35' motor home with enough of our belongings and supplies and head out on a road trip across the United States. Extensive planning allowed us and our kids Taylor, then 13, and Ethan, then 6, the opportunity to spend 7 months on the road.   Two weeks into our trip... we decided that we wanted to move away from our native Florida. So, we decided we'd head out west!

After writing a list of everything we wanted our new hometown to have- it was decided- we were in search of quality of life! During our road trip, many towns made our list, Jackson Hole, WY, Whitefish, MT, but when they came to Durango... our list was quickly narrowed down to one line.  After being in Durango for all of two days, we knew this would be the place we'd spread our new roots.

Just five months after completing our 7 month odyssey, we were unloading boxes at our new home in Durango, Co.  Over the next year, we started researching new business opportunities. We wanted to incorporate the same quality of life we had found on our road trip, and in our new hometown, into our next business venture.  That, along with the appreciation we had found on our cross country road trip for the Life is good^® philosophy, we were inspired to open a Genuine Neighborhood Shoppe right here in Durango, CO. 

In November 2008, my husband Trey, and I opened Down To Earth, Durango, Co's very own Life is good, Genuine Neighborhood Shoppe^®. Our own optimism and sense of adventure radiates with the mission of Life is good^®. We are excited to spread optimistic messages here in Durango, around the Four Corners, and all across the United States.  Stop in to Down to Earth. With just one foot through the door, you'll feel the good vibes. Life is good^®!
